Adama Traore

Adama Traore is Research Director and Executive Secretary of the National Committee on Agricultural Research (CNRA) in Mali. Prior to occupying this position, he was seconded to the Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations as Chief Technical Adviser in charge of Research and Development of small scale livestock production in Togo.

He is a Veterinarian by profession with a PhD in Veterinary Medicine at Karl Marx University, Leipzig, Germany specializing in Livestock Reproduction.

Adama has served in the Boards of many international organizations including the sub-regional organization, CORAF/WECARD, where he served as Chair and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), where he served as a Board member. He joined the WARDA Board in March 2007.

A Malian national, Adama is married with four children.
