Rice scripts for broadcasters

Sharing information about sustainable rice technologies is one of the mandates of the Africa Rice Center. To get a better idea of our research and development efforts related to rural learning, please click here.

As part of our efforts to strengthen rural learning systems, we have collaborated with Farm Radio International to produce radio scripts on seed management methods, rice production, processing and marketing.

Also, we devoted a special issue of the FRI Newsletter Voices to rice cultivation in Africa. Over 300 radio stations across Africa received this newsletter along with radio scripts and a list of rice video distribution points. By integrating approaches and building on existing networks, WARDA aims to boost the sharing of experiences and the creation of new linkages between research and communication practitioners.
